By joining the Association for Quality Imaging, you have the opportunity to champion the U.S. diagnostic imaging industry in Washington, D.C. and across state legislatures. Your support is critical to the association's lobbying and education efforts. AQI and its achievements would not exist without the generous support of its members.

Support from membership dues helps AQI monitor legislative and regulatory developments that affect industry standards and preserve and enhance reimbursement, where appropriate. AQI also educates third-party payers -- governmental and nongovernmental -- about the importance of keeping radiologists in charge of radiology to ensure quality patient care.  Furthermore, AQI plans and supports its members' federal advocacy efforts and  regularly communicates the latest pertinent legislative and regulatory initiatives to its members.

Member/Sponsor Information*

AQI's member and sponsor categories are determined as follows.

  • Facility Members - Facility members are diagnostic imaging facilities ranging from a single imaging facility or mobile imaging unit to a chain with multiple facilities and trucks within the United States.  Members have association voting privileges.
  • Vendor/Affiliate Sponsors - Vendor sponsors are companies that support the business and service of imaging centers. Affiliate sponsors are other associations that are involved with AQI's mission and activities.  Sponsors do not have association voting privileges.

*Member dues, sponsor dues, and special assessment fees paid to the Association for Quality Imaging (AQI) are not tax deductible – either as a business expense or as a nonprofit charity donation.
